The Fiji Government declared Tropical Cyclone Yasa a Natural Disaster before she hit Fiji. Apparently, Fiji's most corrupt and failed minister for everything Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum was already in discussions with developing partners - begging for assistance!
Begging because the failed Fiji dictatorship is broke. This is the result of Sayed Khaiyum's 14 years of corruption, mismanagement of the economy, koco spending, lies and manipulation of the nations GDP and revenue figures.
Khaiyum claimed that the corrupt Prime Minister’s Trust Fund had approximately $3.5 million available on hand to meet any additional costs. Additional costs, presumably, after international donations have been used up or looted!
But the same corrupt government has no problems spending $35 million a month of taxpayer funds to support an insolvent airline. The same airline that made Khaiyum and Frank Bainimarama millions of dollars from corruption. Remember, Bainimarama returned from France and repaid the $180,000 he owed for his false claim of unpaid leave since he joined the military.
This Fiji PM Trust Fund is not transparent and nor has it been audited by a truly independent agency. Remember, over $120 million in cash donations was received after TC Winston hit Fiji in February 2016, yet today in Dec 2020, after four years, a number of victims are still living in temporary tents and children attend school in tents. Victims also reported receiving only part of the supplies and were not able to rebuild their homes. So where did all that money go?
There has been no transparency or any audited report of how and where the funds were used.
Bainimarama and Khaiyum are again visiting areas affected by TC Yasa, taking pictures, and making many promises and speeches just like they did after TC Winston. Déjà vu!
Therefore, ALL Donors are advised NOT to deposit any cash into the Fiji PM's trust fund! We recommend working directly with local community groups to ensure the building materials and supplies are actually purchased and delivered to those that need it.
You know there is no rule of law when Fiji’s Attorney General refuses to stand down from office to allow the police to can carry out their investigation into allegations he was involved in two bomb attacks in 1987.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is Fiji’s most despised person and the most corrupt AG ever. He refused to be interviewed by police and gave them a statement denying the allegations. This does not mean that any person can now do the same thing. This is Fiji, where one set of rules apply to Khaiyum and his corrupt family and friends and another set for the rest of us! Just ask New Zealander Christopher Pryde, Fiji’s corrupt and bent Director of Public Prosecutions. He was appointed by Khaiyum and is his very close bum buddy!
A journalist, after the opening of the 2020-2021 session of Parliament, asked Fiji’s least educated, corrupt and violent Prime Minister Frank Voreqe Bainimarama if Khaiyum should step down. The imbecile's response, “Why are you asking me, ask him”.
Most people in Fiji and across the Pacific and wider world all know that Frank is just the PM in name only, while Khaiyum makes all the decisions for them. So this low-level type response has become Frank Bainimarama’s trade-mark. Remember, his own mother, a school teacher, had refused to enrol her own son Frank at the same schools where she was teaching. She knew it from way back then!
Now we have no rule of law under Bainimarama’s dictatorship that is supported by even less educated and violent well-paid military goons with guns.
This is how Khaiyum has been able to strut around with such arrogance and is able to manipulate the laws and say and do whatever he wants.
Veronica Malani filed a formal complaint in July 2020 with Fiji police. Together with her father, 86-year-old former parliamentarian Ratu Filimone Ralogaivau, and brother Ratu Benedito Ralogaivau, a Melbourne resident and Victoria police officer allege that Sayed-Khaiyum planted the bombs which killed one bystander, while causing “severe injuries” to Malani and her mother.
Malani has since lodged additional reports of interference by Khaiyum and intimidation and threats made against her. This includes instances of a drone flying overhead outside her home and following her around. Then there is the vehicle registered to Khaiyum’s security team that is parked outside her home.
It appears that Khaiyum and his bum buddy DDP Pryde are working all sorts of angles to have Malani’s allegation swept under the mat using some fabricated legal option. But there are other eyewitnesses, with some only willing to step forward once Khaiyum steps down and allows the police investigation team to do their job without interference from Khaiyum.
It’s also clear from police delayed action and non-action over the past months that the Acting Police Commissioner Tudravu is in bed with the pair. Many believe Tudravu is playing along to keep his job, instead of keeping his honour and defending the integrity of the police force.
The Police investigation team have advised Veronica Malani that they have sent Khaiyum’s file back to DPP Pryde. It includes Kaiyum's statement denying the allegations. So now we wait to see the next Bollywood move, but don’t expect any justice from Christoper Pryde.
Fiji's two-faced and treasonous President who supported every military coup since 1987, Jioji Konrote, a conniving Rotuman, shows his arrogance and immaturity when he allows his entourage to stop on the road so that his ADC Julian Toganivalu could get off and threaten a citizen.
The citizen had reportedly failed to pull over and had given the president the middle finger salute as his entourage passed by!
Eyewitness reportedly heard Toganivalu telling the citizen that if she didn't respect the President, at least respect the Police and pull over when you see the Police lights.
Okay, we are all meant to pull over when we see flashing police lights! But the entourage should have carried on and let the police deal with the matter. Remember, the Fiji police is not a proper police force in the true sense of the word. Not since Bainimarama's military coup of 2006. Their crimes and thuggery over the past years has given citizens very little reason to trust or respect them.
Toganivalu obviously didn't think the police were capable enough to deal with the matter. Nor did he respect the police enough to let them do their job. Maybe he had a sudden flash of anger, a little temper tantrum, that made him see it fit to stop the president's entourage, with the President's approval of course, and jump out to speak to the citizen himself!
Seems very immature! But it did happen.
The citizen recorded the exchange on her mobile phone, which shows Toganivalu reaching into the car in an attempt to grab her phone ! The citizen asks what authority he has to grab her phone. Toganivalu responds by saying do you see the lights? Wow! So it must have been a little temper tantrum!
Remember, this is Fiji with no rule of law and a corrupt, conniving president who supported every coup and even threatened Indo-Fijians during the 1987 coup!
Jioji Konrote also betrayed his leader and Fiji's last democratically elected PM Qarase in 2006 so that Bainimarama could overthrow the Qarase government. For his treason and betrayal Konrote was appointed to Bainimarama's new government and then made president of Fiji, albeit an illegal president!
For his treason and betrayal Jioji Konrote, who hails from the tiny island of Rotuma, deserves no respect at all and every middle finger salute he gets!
Rabuka lied about Opposition Parties not wanting to work with him in 2018!
Reposting from Jagath Karunaratne facebook page.
While I definitely do not wish to take a side on this saga, I must respond to this statement below, based on the fact that I was the secretariat of unity talks leading towards 2018 elections.
After having discussions and meetings with all opposition leaders for more than a year, on or around 20th of June 2017, there was a meeting held at sodelpa office where the final paper was presented. The paper proposed a coalition under one banner and the name suggested by Mr Rabuka was agreed upon.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr Rabuka's words were to the effect that "this is the proposal I shall take to the management board on the 28th June 2017 and if they do not agree, I will tell them to find another leader. In any case, as soon as the meeting is over, I will let you leaders know the outcome..."
However, after the sodelpa board meeting on or around the 28th of June 2017, the sodelpa leader then did not even have the courtesy to inform the other leaders of the outcome, instead went to media saying "sodelpa" is standing alone and to our surprise we all got the news only from the media.
Therefore, the statement, "I asked them and they all said no" is false.
Further, in my opinion, it was never about staying with our own "friends" and "parties" but it has been always about people. The question that is posed whether you voted for me or the party I once stood for, to me is very immature as politics should never be about a person, I, me or myself, because you represented a party and weren't an independent candidate. But it must be about the entity that you represent and the principles that the entity stands for.
We must even in a smallest possible way promote the ideals that "WE" stand by and for the people. I sincerely hope that our senior politicians will be an inspiration and example for the rest of the younger leaders and the nation as a whole rather than promoting and inflicting idolized politics that cannot bring about unity and harmony to our people.
Mr Rabuka certainly has and can play a huge role and if & when he understands that I am sure there will be more people who are willing to stand by him.
Let's be truthful and let's be consistent and honest with our words. It's not a fight to win people or power, but it is about giving the power to the people.
Fiji’s most despised Attorney-General and failed lawyer Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum recommended that the Fijian Judiciary should consider establishing a separate branch that looks exclusively at corruption-related cases. Like that will improve matters!
Fiji already has an independent commission against corruption [FICAC] But it's compromised and controlled by Khaiyum who uses it to intimidate, falsely accuse and imprison opponents and people he doesn't like. So how will establishing a separate branch that looks exclusively at corruption-related cases operate any differently. Especially, when it will come across cases of corruption against Khaiyum, Bainimarama and their corrupt family and friends!
No independent institution has been able to operate independently under Fiji's corrupt dictatorship, so don't expect this proposed new branch to be any different.
Khaiyum challenged the judiciary to ensure we have a corruption-free Fiji saying right now the court records reflect otherwise. On really! What a joke! It's as if Khaiyum is living in another world, a deluded version of reality! Where he thinks his fart doesn't stink! Because he and Bainimarama have set the new low stand for Fiji, where corruption, bribes and crime are the new normal!
So these are just fancy words being farted out of Khaiyums gob, especially when Fiji and the world already knows that he Sayed Khaiyum and Fiji 's least educated PM Frank Bainimarama are the two most corrupt buggers in tiny old Fiji.
The Auditor General also highlighted their corruption with over $400 million missing from government funds, all under their watch and control. So this rhetoric is all for show, to fool some sad and gullible individual[s] who blindly monitor and report on Fiji's Anti-Corruption practices to the international community.
But Khaiyum can't help himself, in his deluded reality he says,
“Can be the wealthy, the privilege, the entitled, the senior civil servants and even the elected who are corrupted, and when those cases come before the courts, a person status should not signal leniency. It does not matter who they are, who their parents are or may have been, it does not matter what job they hold, what businesses they run or what title have been bestowed upon them, corruption is corruption.”
He is talking about himself, Frank Bainimarama and their corrupt family and friends who all fall within his description! In addition, the megalomaniac Khaiyum said that the blue and white-collar crime must be treated equally and should not squander the promise of the Fijian Constitution [He is referring to his illegal 2013 constitution that was forced on the people!]
What a joke!
So where is this so-called equal treatment when:
Khaiyum arrogantly said that he believes if people in power get away with corruption, it will send a signal to others that these actions are condoned. Too late!
Both he and Bainimarama's corrupt practices, lies and baby temper tantrums since December 2006 have already set a low bar for all citizens! This is reflected in the high corruption and high crime rate, which also involves police and military offices.
The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption also launched a campaign called “I don’t accept bribes”. It is supposed to root out bribery and corruption from all levels. Yeah right! As if Frank Bainimarama and Khaiyum haven't already gone around collecting brown paper bags filled with cash from business houses!
In November 2020 Fiji's least educated, most corrupt, violent and lamusona Prime Minister Frank Voreqe Bainimarama told members of the Republic of Fiji Mercenary Force [RFMF], Police and Navy that Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka is like a snake and this should not be forgotten. Oh really!
Bainimarama is the very same bugger who ordered Fiji's CRW special forces to overthrow the Chaudhry government in 2000! But when the coup failed he deflected all blame on to the CRW and had them arrested, beaten and sent to prison for following his orders! This is the action of a real SNAKE!
Frank made his speech after the commemorative ceremony for the mutiny by a few CRW soldiers that took place at the Queen Elizabeth Barrack on 2 Nov 2000. It also marks the day when Bainimarama abandoned his men and ran for his life down through the casava patch! But now in 2020, Bainimarama accuses Rabuka of abandoning his post after Rabuka resigned as Leader of the Opposition. What a hypocrite!
Bainimarama also said that those who inflicted the mutiny and the 2000 coup are still around, saying that some are also Members of Parliament for the Opposition. Frank tries to act as if he is innocent. He deliberately ignores his role in the 2000 coup like it never happened. What a snake!
Both Frank and Ratu Epeli Nailatikau were key players behind the 2000 coup! But they managed to deflect all blame onto Speight and his group. Then in 2006 Frank forced his way into power through the barrel of a gun to stop the police from arresting him for his crimes that include treason and murder! And then he rigged two elections to remain in power!
Now Frank is dictator and Ratu Epeli Nailatikau is the Speaker of Parliament!
So when Frank calls Rabuka a snake, he should know! Because it takes one snake to know another snake, what say Frank Bainimarama!
