Mick Beddoes' opinion reported in the FijiToday blog highlights the very noticeable attempt to redefine Fiji's dictator, as Beddoes describes, as some kind and gentle father figure, who is thinking only of the well being of the people, ready to lend a helping hand and is a completely devoted servant of all things good and true. His old Blue Bus, bare feet and shorts are props in an attempt to show Bainimarama as a leader with the common touch, says Beddoes. If this were only true, but it isn't!
Bainimarama's whole circus act reeks of the old days. Remember those uncivilised indigenous men and women who were taken to Europe, dressed up in western clothes and made to speak and perform like civilised ladies and gentlemen. I still remember those recorded news clips from history class showing these uncivilised indigenous people being displayed in public like performing monkeys. This is what Bainimarama looks like when he goes around in his blue bus performing to the people of Fiji in an attempt to deceive them that he is thinking only of their well being, and is a completely devoted servant of all things good and true. What a comedian! It's just like watching a circus monkey perform! No matter how well the monkey performs its circus act, at the end of the day it is still a monkey.
It doesnt matter how hard or how long Bainimarama tries to deceive the people of Fiji, he just doesn't have the integrity or intellect and will always be the lying, corrupt, murdering dictator who committed treason in 2000 and again in 2006 and is now holding Fiji hostage just to save himself from being arrested and from going to prison where he belongs.
