Fiji's Biased Speaker of Parliament, the self-promoted doctor, Jiko Luveni, says that she will not be dealing with a complaint lodged by the National Federation Party’s Youth Wing President, Sharveen Chaudhry, against Fiji First Government MP Howard Politini
Fijivillage reported that Chaudhry claims that Politini had "approached him and his colleague in the parliament car park and was visibly angry, biting down on his lower lip and shouting". This confrontation was in regards to an NFP Youth Wing Facebook post that showed Politini's reaction to their submission to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence. Politini was the Acting Chair of that Committee.
According to Chaudhry, Politini threatened him to “watch out” stating that their offices were in the same building after which Politini then repeatedly called Chaudhry and his colleague “rubbish people”. This is so childish! It also highlights the immature nature of many of Bainimarama's Fiji First ministers.
Fijivillage also reported that the office of the Secretary General to Parliament had said that the allegations against Politini, a Fiji First government MP, related to comments that were not made either in Parliament or a Committee of the Parliament, therefore, the comments do not constitute grounds for the matter to be dealt with by the Speaker according to the Standing Orders. What a load of rubbish!
Article 76 of the parliamentary Standing Orders stipulates 28 days maximum suspension of MPs for disorderly conduct and suspension of one calendar year for disobeying the speaker.
Remember Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu? The Social Democratic Liberal Party MP who became the first Opposition MP to be suspended, in May 2015, for two years, for making derogatory comments in the native Fijian language against the speaker of parliament, Jiko Luveni, during one of his party constituency meetings. Outside of Parliament! Remember this?
Given Jiko Luveni's biased rulings since becoming the Speaker and clearly a puppet of the FijiFirst government, many would be forgiven for sharing Ratu Lalabalavu's sentiments. He had apparently called her a "vutu sona", loosely translated its an ass giver!
Ratu Lalabalavu was made to make a public apology to the speaker and barred from entering the parliament precincts. Ratu Lalabalavu's suspension was arbitrary and contrary to the governing rules of the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji. And here we go again with the Speaker ignoring Chaudhry's complaint about being threatened and intimidated by the Fiji First Government MP Howard Politini.
Fiji Exposed will keep exposing - concerns that online safety law could be used to target political critics writes Lauren Beldi on Pacific Beat.
People whose online posts cause harm to another individual could be fined up to twenty thousand Fijian dollars or jailed for up to five years under a new online safety law passed in Fiji's parliament this week.
The attorney general, reports Beldi, insists that the bill is intended to protect vulnerable people - like children - from distressing and inappropriate content, bullying and harassment.
But a moderator of a popular Facebook page in Fiji, Fiji Exposed Forum, that aims to expose government corruption and promote transparency says the law is targeting them for their political posts, and that the word "harm" needs to be more clearly defined.
Fiji Exposed Forum, with its over 130,000 members, is reaching more and more people across Fiji, informing them of the real TRUTH about the Bainimarama government's crimes, lies, land theft, cultural genocide, nepotism and corruption that AG Khaiyum does not want the people to know about!
The Fiji Times reports that the Fiji Navy has produced more recruits, during a pass-out parade at the Togalevu Naval Base outside of Lami, on Thursday, May 17, 2018. This is interesting especially when Fiji has no working ships! Click HERE to read more
Speaking from Bonn, Germany, Fiji's dictator Prime Minister, who committed sedition, treason, rape and murder, and is supporting the cultural genocide of indigenous Fijians, FijiFirst leader Voreqe Bainimarama said that “The snake changes its skin, but it’s still a snake.” So true, and Bainimarama should know, because this is one thing he is very good at! Just look at his record since becoming Military Commander in 2009!
At least Rabuka has learnt from his mistakes and indeed changed for the better! Not so for JV Bainimarama who refuses to give up power and forced Fiji, under the gun, to its highest levels of poverty, cost of living, unemployment, corruption, nepotism, racism and national debt!
So Bainimarama, the uneducated 4th form drop out and deck-hand, was describing himself while attempting to provide a smart-ass response to the SODELPA party leader Sitiveni Rabuka's claims that he believes that he, Rabuka, is a changed man from the person he was 31 years ago.
Mr Rabuka was responding to questions in a radio interview when he told New Zealand’s Radio Tarana that he was a changed man going into this year’s General Election. “I’ve learnt a lot from what I have done,” Mr Rabuka said, “I’ve admitted to the mistakes of the past and you saw what I could do with the people’s co-operation between 1992 and 1999. If people believe what I did then and my commitment to the 1997 Constitution formulation, they should be able to continue and trust me going forward.” Mr Rabuka also said that most of those who are in Fiji saw the transformation from 1987 to 1997. He also said that he accepted the results of the polls in 1999 and departed. He remains adamant that if SODELPA gets into Government, they will reinstate the Great Council of Chiefs. He claims it is part of iTaukei [indigenous Fijian] culture. Remember that JV Bainimarama is considered in Fiji, especially in the military, as a half-caste, a kai-loma, not a Fijian.
JV Bainimarama the con-artist, lied to the people of Fiji in 2014 that no VAT would apply to basic food items. 9% VAT was added after the rigged 2014 election thus increasing the cost of living and adding a further burden on 30% of the country already living beneath the national poverty line.
Don't forget that the Bainimarama dictatorship also reduced the FNPF pensions without consultation with its members, forcing many further into poverty and distress as they struggle to live on half of their already meager pensions.
Meanwhile, the dictator increased his own salary by over 1000% and pays himself an added $3000 per day travel allowance, which is in addition to his self imposed taxpayer funded travel, meals, accommodation and expense account.
As the 2018 Fiji General Election approaches many still wonder how come members of the Police and Military still choose to support Bainimarama and his puppet queen Sayed Khaiyum despite the clear evidence of Corruption, indigenous cultural genocide, land theft, nepotism and no-rule of law!
Is it that Fiji's new so-called disciplined forces are that corrupt? OR is the officer entry exam now at an all-time low under Bainimarama that they are so gullible and koco their new found wealth -- and to hell with honour and integrity? Or maybe they know exactly what they are doing and their daily display of prayers are all FAKE, just for show, as they pray with closed eyes, look humble and say the right fancy words with feverish acting that have no connection to their daily routine. A routine of intimidation, illegal arrests, beatings and turning a blind eye to the truth and injustices dished out on fellow citizens who do not support the corrupt and lying dictatorship of JV Bainimarama and Sayed Khaiyum who are removing their cultural autonomy.
We know that not all men and women in the police, military and public service support the dictatorship. But this means very little if they remain silent in the belief that their vote is all that is needed to make a difference come election day 2018. It wont!
Just look at the 2014 election, it was rigged!! The rigged process and results were also supported and endorsed by so-called academics and representatives from the patronizing Multinational Observer Group [MOG] who were afraid to speak the truth about the rigged election and to defend a true democratic and free and fair election process! Yet each year they celebrate the memory of the brave men and women who fought and died for the democracy and freedom they enjoy. Remember that the thousands of deaths occurring next door in West Papua are deliberately being ignored. So where does all this leave Fiji's pro-democracy groups and supporters? We're on our own!
But don't despair! We have people power that we must harness!
Rajend Naidu from Sydney, explains this in his letter to the editor @canberratimes.com.au.
"It's happened again. People power getting rid of a ruler who manipulated the political system to hang onto power. The last time we witnessed people power in action on that scale was when the people of the Philipines took to the streets to force dictator Ferdinand Marcos to flee to Hawaii wearing his diaper .
This time it's happened in Armenia. Eleven days of street protest succeeded in forcing the PM Serzh Sargsyan to resign. He tried to cynically manipulate the constitution to cling to power after already having been in power for a decade in the former Soviet satellite state as President.
The Armenian people decided enough was enough and they would not tolerate this blatant abuse of power. Like the Phillipine people power revolution in the Armenian people power protest many soldiers too decided to join the people.
The Armenian leader had enough good sense to recognise the writing on the wall and accept the peoples' demand to resign.
That should again be a reminder to rogue leaders that hanging onto power is a case of merely procrastinating the inevitable.
So it is essential that all opposition parties put their differences and self-interests aside, for now, and rally together all their supporters to one aim, the removal of the corrupt and lying dictatorship of JV Bainimarama and Sayed Khaiyum. This is the objective! Once this is achieved, then a new constitution, freely decided by the people, can be implemented with the rule-of-law under a truly free and independent judiciary filled with proper qualified judges. Elected officials can then oversee the undoing of the evil decrees of the Bainimarama dictatorship.
No revenge attacks are to be taken against any person or entity, this will be the domain of the courts where evidence will determine a person's guilt and the appropriate punishment meted out according to law. Remember that many have also changed sides after seeing first-hand the lies and corruption of Bainimarama and Sayed Khaiyum. Many also suspect that the president, Major General Jioji Konrote, will jump ship, AGAIN, and join the winning side with his infamous "Fara two-step".
The new government, elected by the people, will decide how best to free us from the highest levels of poverty, debt, crime and cost of living in Fiji's history since independence. Fiji can once again begin to start living within its resources and without the koco mentality of the past 12 years. But to get here we first must overcome the 2018 election which is expected to be rigged in favour of the FijiFirst Bainimarama party. The errors of 2014 must not be repeated.
All opposition parties must also organise themselves to ensure they have adequate representation to oversee all voting documents, booths and counting centres! The vote counting process and computer systems must also be accessible to all parties and be made available for an independent audit. This will not be freely given so it must be demanded and even fought for! It can also be expected that any "application to protest" will be declined by the dictatorship, so all supporters need to be able to walk out and march together as one in People Power.
We already have many leaders among us, in you, brave men and women each doing their bit, no matter how big or small, who are willing and able to lead the rest of us to victory.
JV Bainimarama stated publicly, as reported in the news, what most of us have known for years, that it is Khaiyum who tells him which way to go and what to say and do.
Fiji's megalomaniac, corrupt and lying Attorney-General, Khaiyum, accused Fiji nurses in Parliament of pilfering from hospitals. But he is the biggest thief and hypocrite of all and there's heaps of proof. He and JV Bainimarama have stolen 100's of millions of dollars, native lands and resources as reported by the Auditor General.
THE Fiji Nursing Association (FNA) general secretary, Salanieta Matiavi, said they were gravely concerned about the claims made public by the A-G without any police investigations. Remember that there is no rule of law in Fiji, its a dictatorship run by two lunatics with childish temper tantrums.
Ms Matiavi said as a collective, nurses unequivocally rejected the generalised statement and non-specific accusation and disassociated themselves from the implied dishonesty of the allegation. She said that "It is unfair that this statement had been made under cover of parliamentary privilege, and is an added stress for the nurses of Fiji who work long hours, caring for our sick patients.
Remember that both JV Bainimarama and Khaiyum earn more in two weeks then a nurse earns in a whole year.
What are people really expecting from the corrupt and lying dictator JV Bainimarama and his puppet government in post TC Josie? His record is clear, lots of fancy words, photos with victims and empty promises! Don't believe me? Look at the victims of TC Winston!
Tropical Cyclone Winston caused widespread damage in Fiji on 20-21 February 2016 states Australia's DFAT website. It was the strongest tropical cyclone ever recorded in the southern hemisphere, causing 44 deaths and affecting more than sixty per cent of the population of Fiji. Millions were donated by Australia alone and millions more by other nations and relief agencies. Over 150 million was cash donations, but today, over two years later many victims still live in tents and their children still school in tents!
Why is this many have asked, especially how the millions were spent to help victims. But no one is allowed to audit the Prime Minister's cyclone relief fund so the money could have easily gone into his private bank accounts in Fiji and overseas. Without transparency and a proper audit we will never know the truth. But reality provides an insight into that truth, with people still living and schooling in muddy tents, more than two years after the cyclone. And now another cyclone, Josie, has caused more damage.
So if the FijiFirst government couldn't help the victims of TC Winston, then what chance have the victims of TC Josie? Customers of any service provider expect continuous improvement, and government is no exception. But not in Fiji, and not under the corrupt Fiji First government of JV Bainimarama.
Since JV Bainimarama committed treason in 2006 and took power in a coup, he has broken every promise made to the people and to the international community. He lied about his intentions and reasons for the coup, lied about his salary, paid himself over 180,000 in back-pay for annual leave he had already used, promised not to add VAT to basic food items but did so soon after he won his rigged 2014 election. There is much more of his corruption that has put Fiji into its highest ever level of national debt, poverty and cost of living. He also destroyed the Sugar and Fishing industries,! So any decent person with half a brain knows that this is not the actions of a person who cares for Fiji and its people.
So be warned and avoid making any donations to the PM's relief fund, it's not going to go to the people you are trying to help. There are many citizens working in groups helping the victims, check with them first.
The villagers in the district of Noemalu in the upper reaches of Wainimala River, reported the FijiTimes, are asking dictator Voreqe Bainimarama WHERE are the 100 horses he had promised them on January 21, 2016, over two years ago!
Being the typical CONMAN, JV Bainimarama, after hearing of their troubles, promised he would provide the village with 100 horses to ease the burden of transporting supplies to and from their Village. The promise was well-received by more than 600 villagers, reported the FijiTimes.
BUT two years later the villagers are still waiting to see the first horse! Maybe, since its election year, the first horse may magically appear in an effort to gain votes!
69-year-old Aminiasi Rakula, who lives in Nasauvere Village, accessible via a four-hour trek which involves crossing the Wainimala River 32 times, spoke on beahalf of villagers, "We carried dalo and yaqona from the village to the school because the Prime Minister was coming to visit us. We were so happy when he old us that he was going to give us 100 horses to help carry our supplies while we waited for a road to be built. But we are still waiting, we don't know whether we will be given the horses, or maybe the horses have not been born, or maybe waiting for the horses will be like waiting for the road to reach us".
JV Bainimarama has made many EMPTY promises since he overthrew the last democratically elected government of Fiji in December 2016. Its all said in an attempt to make himself look and sound intelligent while having no intention of delivering them. This is the act of a conman, a LIAR, JV Bainimarama!
Remember his false promises of holding free and fair elections in 2014? It never happened, it was rigged! And his other promise that no military officer would benefit from his coup, or that he would not stand in the election, more lies! He promised to reduce corruption yet he has made Fiji more corrupt than ever before! He promised to reduce nepotism, crime and debt but has taken them to their highest levels than ever before! Anyone continuing to believe Bainimarama's lies is either corrupt, stupid or escaped from St.Giles Hospital!
Prof Wadan Narsey explains in his article “Is FBS losing its independence? (edited version in FT 3/2/2018)” why Neutral national statistics, both economic and social, are absolutely necessary in order for any society to know if the economy and the well-being of the poorest and marginalized are improving. This statistical data on economic growth and distribution, including a wide range of other social statistics, can be used to measure, in an evidence-based way, the changes in well-being of all sections of the society.
The Australian Bureau of Statistic (ABS), writes Prof Narsey, says explicitly on their website that their purpose is to “deliver relevant, trusted, objective data, statistics and insights”. Their role as Australia’s national statistical agency is, among others, to provide “trusted official statistics on a wide range of economic, social, population and environmental matters of importance to Australia” and “developing and maintaining community trust”.
But this is NOT the case in Fiji and NOT under a corrupt and lying dictator like JV Bainimarama, who is running from the law for his crimes of sedition, treason, murder, rape and corruption!
The statistical data, writes Prof Narsey, also enables society to assess government’s performance based on the “evidence” of the data collected. So it is paramount that the collection of data is carried out by a “neutral” institution, totally independent of all political parties who are in government or the opposition.
So what does it mean when some political parties asked the Fiji’s Bureau of Statistics [FBS] for ethnic break-downs of the 2017 Census, the Government Statistician (Epeli Waqavonovono), “gave what was to me”, continues Pro Narsey, “an alarming answer: We did ask about people’s ethnicity, but the decision to release it has to come from higher authority. Once we are instructed then we will release it.”
This is a clear sign that the FBS is not a “neutral” institution! Nor is it independent of the corrupt and lying AG-Khaiyum, who is also the self-appointed minister for multiple portfolios that have all failed society since he took over. But he and his puppet dictator, JV Bainimarama, became multi-millionaires in the process and continue to rob Fiji and slowly steal native lands!!
Sadly, the indigenous Fijians sit silently by, watching their lands being stolen from under their noses, while they "taki" the next round of kava, because they are either too scared or too stupid to do anything about it. As a people they appear clueless on what to do about it, many naively think that their political party will win the next rigged election solely by having the most support and votes! This mentality is how they lost the rigged 2014 elections, with help from the corrupt observers from Australia and New Zealand! Einstein aptly described this level of intelligence, of doing the same thing over and over again, while hoping for a different result, as the definition of stupid.
Speaking of stupid, JV Bainimarama and his puppet master, in their arrogance and incompetence, have destroyed everything they touched, including the Fiji rugby union, the economy, education, roads, land and health! They also destroyed the Sugar industry, destroyed the fishing industry and the mahogany industry. Thousands of Fijians [both indigenous and non-indigenous] from across all backgrounds have been affected by their stupidity, with Fiji reaching its highest level of poverty, than ever before!
To make matters worse they added VAT to basic food items after they had promised during the 2014 elections that they would not increase VAT if they won! They broke that promise too, like all their other promises, and Fiji is experiencing its highest ever cost of living! They have also opened Fiji up to many of Khaiyum's "kind" and others who support their dictatorship, to keep them in power. In addition, Khaiyum is also implementing his sunset clause to rid Indigenous Fijians of their cultural autonomy and their much sort after lands!
Statistics will provide the evidence and the proof of Bainimarama and Khaiyum’s mismanagement, corruption and lies! So it’s no wonder that Khaiyum LIED about it in parliament proclaiming that no data had been collected in the 2017 census based on ethnicity. Even though the Government Statistician, Epeli Waqavonovono, had stated earlier that they had collected the data on ethnicity! This proves that Khaiyum deliberately LIED to parliament and to the people of Fiji.
Meanwhile, JV Bainimarama keeps getting paid his 30 pieces of silver, more like millions of dollars through the highest ever salary paid to a PM in Fiji, plus another $3,000 per day in overseas travel allowances for official visits and while on holiday, this does not include his taxpayer funded expense accounts, credit card, free travel, free house, free cars, free food and free jobs to more of his unqualified and incompetent family and military officers!
JV Bainimarama is the biggest con-artist to the people of Fiji - making false promises and lying to their face, while robbing them and doing and saying everything and anything to hide the truth from them!

Fiji's megalomaniac, corrupt and natural-born-liar, Sayed-Khaiyum, LIED in parliament when he stated that no data had been collected in the 2017 census based on ethnicity.
According to Fiji TV, however, the Fiji Bureau of Statistics had stated earlier in the year that "data on ethnicity in the 2017 census was collected and was waiting on a directive from a higher [no points for guessing who this is] to release the information".
When Fiji One News approached the corrupt Minister for Economy for a comment he replied that the Fiji Bureau of Statistics would release a statement and that he did not wish to comment any further. The two-faced hypocrite, AG-Khaiyum, has been caught out in yet another lie to the people of Fiji! Click HERE to read more.
We have also reproduced below a facebook post by Aklesh Vince Singh in Fiji Exposed Forum who reveals #CROOK_KHAIYUM_MISLEADS_PARLIAMENT.
"Opposition MP Bulitavu & NFP Leader MP Biman Prasad raise Point of Order against the AG today for misleading Parliament & the Fijian people on the collection of data on ethnicity in 2017 & 2000. AG lied by saying no data was collected on ethnicity in the 2017 census, he further lied that a census was done in 2000; there was none, only in 2007 and the 2007 census confirmed data was collected on ethnicity. The evidence tabled is before the Speaker and she has said that she will make a Ruling by the end of the week." wrote Aklesh Vince Singh.
Unfortunately, most educated people across Fiji and the world already know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Fiji's Speaker, the FAKE-doctor Jiko Luveni, is nothing more than another puppet of Fiji's corrupt and lying dictatorship, more specifically the megalomaniac AG, Khaiyum. In his arrogance, Khaiyum was rude to the poor fake doctor and insulted her by calling her a bloody academic! [See copy of transcript of parliamentary debate in the following image]. So with there being no rule of law in Fiji it is more than reasonable to think that this can only mean that the FAKE-doctor Luveni will now wait for Khaiyum to tell her what to officially say and do about the evidence.

The sesquipedalian [a person who overuses big words to show off] Fiji Human Rights Director, Ashwin Raj, is suddenly lost for words after being schooled by the visiting United Nations Human Rights Commissioner, Mr Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein's.
ABC's Pacific Beat programme reported that there's "been a positive reaction from human rights groups in Fiji to strong statements by the visiting United Nations Human Rights Commissioner during his three-day visit to Fiji. He said Fiji has overly broad media laws which are highly worrying, questioned the autonomy of institutions like the Constitutional Affairs Commission, the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, and the Fijian Elections Office". Click HERE to read more.
Mr Al Hussein, as reported in the Fiji Times, said he "was concerned with a basic structural flaw that bring into question whether these bodies were truly autonomous. He also said that independent national human rights institutions can be extremely effective in serving as a link between government and civil society". Click HERE to read more.
Nalini Singh, Chair of Fiji's NGO Coalition on Human Rights, says it was unusual but gratifying to hear such a senior United Nations official making such pointed statements about the state of human rights in the country".
Yes, this is truly unusual to hear after so many years, but its very welcome indeed! Finally, the truth is being told out loud by those at the top whose job it is to protect our Human Rights! If only the MOG who oversaw the Fiji 2014 elections were just as courageous and honest! Here's wishing that for the 2018 elections these corrupt mongrels would have acquired and grown the right stuff!
Many indigenous Fijians already know about JV Bainimarama's talent for lying and bullying, unfortunately some learnt about this the hard way, while some of the less educated are still blinded with all the cheap free gifts that their children will have to pay for in the future, while small minded fools can not see beyond their noses. Then there are the special ones who just believe anything he tells them! There are special doctors for people like this.
At the end of the day, JV Bainimarama has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is nothing more than a lying, corrupt, murdering, rapist and dictator who is running from the law!
He is so desperate to remain in power that he is willing and able to cheat, lie and beat anyone who opposes him! He has no shame! This makes it easy for him to do what he does! I now understand why his own mother refused to enroll him at the same schools were she taught at. Bainimarama revealed this fact to a group of teachers, which was published in the newspapers.
But another of his big lies is that the native Fijian lands are safe. The land is not safe!
The dictionary defines "SAFE" as being protected from or not exposed to danger or risk; not likely to be harmed or lost.
So what does it mean when the indigenous landowners no longer have access, or any say or control over their land for 99 years? This term can also be easily extended to 999 years by Bainimarama or Khaiyum, if they feel like it? Anything can be done to the land during this time! And the landowners can't do anything about it! They have lost control of their lands!
JV Bainimarama is lying when he says that indigenous Fijians lands are safe! Its not safe for the landowners because they have lost control over it! They need to get it back! But their land is safe for Bainimarama and Khaiyum to use as they see fit, for however long as they want, charge what they want and then pay whatever tiny fraction of the lease they deem is sufficient for the landowners. Even then, the lease monies owed to the landowners is not paid out on time, or at all. There is always an excuse of everyone not having bank accounts. This is just an excuse to hold on to ALL the money. They can easily pay those who already have accounts! But they dont! You dont have to be a genius to figure out that the indigenous lands are not safe for the landowners, under the Bainimarama dictatorship. But you must be some special kind of moron to believe JV Bainimarama when he says its safe!
Opposition Member of Parliament, Niko Nawaikula, explains this lie by Bainimarama in his article, PRIME MINISTER LIES TO POOR NATIVES, duplicated here, as follows:
The Fiji Sun today , 15:2:2018 is reporting the Prime Minister as saying to the landowners of Sigatoka & Nadi ,"Do not feel insecure or threatened because your rights are protected under the Constitution."
In my opinion that statement is an absolute lie and the PM is commiting an outright lie sayng such nonsense.
The PM must be either blind, pretentious or cynical to say such an absolute lie to those natives that obviously know the truth.
The question to ask ,and im sure this must have been going through the minds of the thousands of natives that crowd him up at Sigatoka and Nadi, is who is the PM kidding.
Every native Fiiian know the PMs governments policy is the sunset clause with the aim & objective of removing their indigenous rights . Now can the PM deny his own sunset laws to remove those rights like the termination of the GCC, nationilising native institutions like Provincial Councils & ITLTB, nationilising the management of native land & denying rights to their resources like.qoliqoli.& minerals.
And with all that in mind the PM has the tenacity to say , " your rights are protected under the Constitution " . What very short memory does our PM has when his very own 2013 Constitution has removed the GCC & its Constituonal.role and right to prior consent that were there in.the 1970 & 1997 Constitution .
I say shame on you.PM and your Fiji First Government.
Shame on you for exploiting native owners & their native land.
Looking tgrough the annuncement you made to them at Nadi as reported by Fiji Sun it becomes absolutely clear to me thst itltb has given benefit to everyone else but the poor landowners. That to me is clear exploitation .
Ratu Sir Lala Sukuna convinced the chiefs & natives to give up their land to itltb using the parable of the talents. I can see Mr PM that you and your tltb have burried that talent and you must now be cast aside to where there is wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Because success is not measured by how much money is distributed by itltb for consumption but by savings & investment and itltb has none of that.
Fiji Sun did not report how the landowners of vaturu spoke and wept in despair at itltbs failure to act for their benefit. For how is it that Vodafone, & others can use their land without any increase reflected in.rent received & how it is that the natives of sabeto can miss out on many years of reassesment of their rent.
The native landowners of this country have suffered enough injustice . They look foward to a SODELPA government to restore whats lost and turn their native land to investment.
Former Fiji sevens coach Ben Ryan said recently what others in Fiji already know, but can't speak about openly. Under JV Bainimarama's dictatorship, locals are more than aware that daring to speak the truth will evoke the deepest childish sentiments and tantrums of the lunatic dictator and his puppet queen, Khaiyum. Their childish intellect and temper tantrums are well know.
Ben Ryan is correct! In his comments to Radio New Zealand the Fiji 7s team are "still the lowest paid in the top ten sevens teams in the series by a long way and none are given the security of a contract longer than a season". That's right, the FRU is treating the Fiji 7s team like slaves and they are expected by the public to win every game! Come on!
There has been an outcry about the pittance in minimum wage increase in Fiji and Bainimarama's million dollar salary and $3,000 allowance per day on all his overseas trips. BUT sweet bugger all is said in support for the 7s team players who brought glory to Fiji in the Rio Olympics. Remember, that JV Bainimarama earned more salary in travel allowances while attending his fully funded Rio Olympics trip, then all the players earnings combined! So where is the outrage and support for the Fiji 7s team players to get a fair deal?
We cant expect our Fiji 7s team to play at their best while also worrying about how they will support their families? They have no proper contract for representing Fiji and winning! Their millions of dollars in funding has also disappeared! Promised only in words by the corrupt Vodafone to win sponsorship rights, then ignored thereafter! Bainimarama and his corrupt family got a free trip out of it, for ignoring the 7s players rights and needs!
Ben revealed to the fans that "The top players in the Fiji 7s squad get $FJ15,000 maximum as a salary. This is the equivalent of over three years salaries for the entire men's and women's sevens squad.....". Bainimarama's unqualified and corrupt children earn more from their daddy-given top government jobs, then the captain of the Fiji 7's team! Think about this for a minute!
So we agree with Ben Ryan when he says, "How about they [FRU] sort all of that out first for men's and women's teams - far bigger priority for sustaining sevens success. So is coach development on the island. So is player development programmes. So is referee development programmes. Better talent identification programmes." The list goes on.
And now the heavily corrupt Fiji Sun publication says that the "PM DID IT". What a load of rubbish!!
Fiji's dictator and Prime Minister, the lying and corrupt Voreqe Bainimarama, claimed, as reported in his propaganda newspaper, Fiji Sun, that "the new TappooCity development in Lautoka is proof positive that our journey forward as a nation isn’t only happening in Suva or down the Nadi coast".
What Bainimarama failed to say is that the owners of Tappoo City are great supporters and beneficiaries of his greed and corruption.
Bainimarama's puppet-master, who is also the FijiFirst Party general secretary and Attorney-General and Minister for many other government departments, sold his Berry Road property in Suva to Tappoo for an over-inflated price of $810,000. The property was worth $400,000. This was done to help Khaiyum avoid bankruptcy because he was unable to service his mortgage payments with the ANZ Bank. In return Tappoo has been the beneficiary of corruption, which includes millions of dollars in loans from FNPF, duty-free concessions and access to public land for development. FijiLeaks reported that tourists to Fiji could claim back VAT only on duty-free items purchased from outlets owned by Tappoos. Both Bainimarama and Khaiyum, and their families, benefit from Tappoo. The staff employed at the new Tappoo City also benefit, but for very different reasons and for much, much less.
Bainimarama also said that "it's about attracting investment, creating jobs and making Lautoka – and our entire Western Division – a better place to live, work and – quite simply – enjoy life". But he increased the cost of basic everyday food items by adding 9% VAT! It used to be VAT free, zero rated! He and his puppet master Khaiyum promised in 2014 that it would not be increased. They lied to Fiji. In addition, the new TappooCity will affect small shops and hawkers and the people they employ, ultimately threatening them with a decline in business and closure. Crime has also increased by 30% Children must attend school in tents and others must wade across rivers to get to school. There is also 'no rule of law' to protect investors and their investments. Local businesses must go with the flow or risk losing their investments.
Bainimarama also boasts about "delivering new roads, bridges, water, electricity and telecommunications infrastructure, and a state-of-the-art airport in Nadi". All very nice, and it would be even better if they had been done correctly. The huge national debt and Auditor General's reports suggests that these developments have been more than generously funded, well above the actual quality of work produced. The roads have easily washed away in heavy rains and are now full of pot-holes. To fix them will require millions more. More debt and corruption! The water, electricity and telecommunications are still intermittent despite the millions in investments. The state-of-the-art airport with its self-service, has made life easier for travelers. But how many staff did that technology replace?
He also claimed, “My fellow Fijians, the Fiji we know today wasn’t built by talk, smiles and false promises – which is all that those in the Opposition have to offer – it has been built by my Government’s commitment to deliver real development that is making real differences in the lives of the Fijian people" The Fiji we know today has been created under the Bainimarama dictatorship who have been in power since December 2006. They have taken Fiji to its highest levels of poverty! Highest cost of living! Highest unemployment! Highest crime rate! Highest level of human rights abuse, nepotism and Corruption! The lowest levels of investments and the highest level of national debt! Bainimarama and Khaiyum also destroyed the Sugar Industry that used to employ thousands in the Western Division, not any more! The Fishing industry and Mahogany industries have also been destroyed by Bainimarama's greed and stupidity!
There's just too many holes in Bainimarama's fancy speeches! The media in Fiji, and in other countries, is not allowed to question him. He ran away before question time at the COP23 meeting. But try and question him, especially about the truth, even use simple words, and you will see a lunatic-child come to the fore. There are snippets of his previous interviews doing the rounds on social media! It shows a person unable to answer simple questions. At first glance you might think he had just learned to speak English. Sadly, some even argue that it is the best comedy to come out of Fiji.
The dictator's broadcasting corporation, the FBC, reported that the dictator, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, is reminding Fijians to protect themselves from those that will only use them to help themselves or benefit themselves.
But it is Voreqe Bainimarama who in the last 11 years has become a multi-millionaire while Fiji is facing its highest levels of poverty, its highest cost of living, an additional 9% increase of VAT on basic food items, highest levels of unemployment, theft of indigenous lands and resources. Under JV Bainimarama Fiji has reached its highest levels of corruption and debt. The health and education systems have failed, and so have the fishing and mahogany industries, including the once lucrative Sugar industry. Even Bainimarama's so called free school, free medicine and free bus-fares isnt free for everyone, only a select few.
However, Bainimarama continued his rant in an attempt to fool the people while opening the Sauva rural electrification project outside Nausori. He claims that "Fiji cannot risk all of the progress that it has made over the years due to certain politicians who aren’t in your position and don’t understand their situation". He rants on that "Fijians must not allow this behavior to stall the nation’s journey forward". Oh really! But progress and the journey forward has only been for him and his corrupt family and friends! He gave his unqualified children and family top government jobs, well beyond their intellectual abilities! The auditor general has also highlighted the staggering amount of corruption committed under Bainimarama, which runs into hundred's of millions of dollars!
Bainimarama's puppet master also removed indigenous Fijians from top government positions and replaced them with unqualified family and friends from "his kind". The Indigenous Fijian language has been banned from being spoken in Fiji's parliament and the Great Council of Chiefs that oversee's the affairs of indigenous Fijians has been removed, while the Muslim league and other community groups continue! The indigenous Fijians have also been renamed as a race and are now referred to as owners of something, anything, like the owners of toilet paper! Their lands are also being stolen without their consent or control. So what progress is Bainimarama referring to?
He says "we must keep Fiji on the path of progress and the fast track of development as well as building Sauva village including every city, town, village and community". It was reported that 27 households in Sauva settlement will now receive affordable access to electricity through the government’s rural electrification project. This is very nice, but there are well over 1000 communities nation wide and over half still remain neglected after 11 years of Bainimarama's dictatorship!
So who is Bainimarama referring to when he reminded Fijians to protect themselves from "those" that will only use them to help themselves or benefit themselves. Yes, who has benefited the most from Bainimarama's dictatorship? Look at the facts and at Bainimarama's actual record over the past 11 years, his actual record and not what his supporters and the corrupt Fiji Sun newspaper claims he has done, but his actual record! Do this and you will know the truth!
Its clear that its not the indigenous Fijians who are benefiting, nor is it the families affected by the failed fishing, mahogany and sugar industries! Its certainly not those living in poverty, or the unemployed, or those suffering from the failed education and health system! So protect yourselves from the "real culprits" that are "only using you" to help themselves and benefit their corrupt family and friends!
Happy New Year!
Fiji's First kaisi bakola Prime Minister and low-down half-caste dictator, JV Bainimarama, from Kiuva, killed an unborn child in December 2006! JV Bainimarama intentionally jumped up and down on the back of the pregnant mother who had been forced to lay down on her tummy! Eye witnesses claim that JV Bainimarama began laughing when he was told the woman was pregnant, but he did not stop! This is down right murder! This is in adiition to his murder of CRW soldiers in 2000!
This story, however, is one you won’t see in Fiji’s well-controlled media. It is the story of JV Bainimarama's brutal crackdown on pro-democracy activists in the wake of his treasonous coup when he seized power in December 2006. Suva businesswoman, Laisa Digitaki, who was pregnant at the time, had converted her office building into a pro-democracy shrine in the wake of the coup, but it was demolished by gunmen, whom Digitaki accused of being military personnel. Click HERE to read more about LAISA DIGITAKI’S Statement and the sequence of events that involved five PRO-DEMOCRACY members being rounded up and bashed-up by Fiji's brave RFMF thugs and Dictator on DECEMBER 24th and 25th of 2006.
So if you are one of those special kind of people who thinks that the 2018 general election in Fiji will be free and fair, then you are either a corrupt FijiFirst Party beneficiary or simply retarded! JV Bainimarama needs to remain in power or he will be put in prison for his crimes! So he will do anything to win and stay out of prison while milking millions for himself and his family and friends. This includes rigging the elections, again, most likely with the same help he got from the corrupt and incompetent trash in the Multinational Observer Group in 2014!
It is therefore necessary, and damn right expected, that the opposition parties actually know and understand what they are dealing with, and more importantly, that they know how to counter and defeat a rigged election come election day 2018!
After eleven years of dictatorship, lies, corruption and over $5 billion in national debt the patience of the oppressed and cheated people of Fiji is at an end. It is the hope and wish of many of these honest, just and hardworking Fijians that TRUE Rule of Law, Freedom, Anti-corruption and Democracy returns in 2018.
The evidence that the country has suffered under JV Bainimarama and Khaiyum's lies, high corruption, land theft, nepotism, vote rigging, indigenous cultural genocide, no rule of law, no human rights, no free media, false equal citizenry, false secular state, and blatant mismanagement is superabundant.
For too long the military and the police have stood aside, collecting their 30 pieces of silver, and allowed JV Bainimarama and his megalomaniac puppeteer, khaiyum, to cheat, rob and insult the people of Fiji. This goes beyond all morals and decency and it is high time that they did their duty to protect the people over the financial interests of corrupt politicians and their corrupt family and friends.
2018 is election year in Fiji, many are hoping and praying for change, and the Opposition parties are expected to know how to defeat a rigged election!
