fbcnews reported that crucial evidence was lost by the Fiji Police Force after it was damaged by water, rats and cockroaches. Yeah right!
Fiji's incompetent and corrupt Director of Public Prosecutions [DPP] Christopher Pryde stated that exhibits were removed without authorisation from a safe secure place and placed in an insecure place where they were damaged. This is interesting given the fact that the Fiji Police is too afraid to do anything without specific instructions from the megalomaniac Attorney General Sayed-Khaiyum. No police officer in their right mind would risk their jobs and their ability to support their family by going against Sayed-Khaiyum who is well known for his childish temper tantrums and vindictiveness.
It would be understandable if people expect Pryde to be prudent with the security of crucial evidence. After all, he is the DPP [albeit appointed illegally] and should have insisted on and ensured that a robust system was in place to safeguard all "crucial evidence". But apparently not!
Marijuana leaves and seeds kept at the Nadi Magistrates Court went missing with police launching an investigation.
FijiTimes also reported that the Police had launched another investigation into how 2kg of cocaine went missing from the Namaka Police Station. This resulted in Pryde dropping the case at the High Court in Lautoka against the two men charged with trying to export the illicit drug.
Some believe the missing evidence is all by design to help Khaiyum and his corrupt family and friends. A certain lawyer with links to Sayed-Khaiyum was also arrested multiple times for drug possession but bailed each time, while farmers caught with marijuana plants have been charged and given prison sentences, relatively quickly. All thanks to Christopher Pryde. Senior military sources also claim that both Pryde and Sayed Khaiyum have been known to indulge themselves in the type of missing evidence.
Pryde is clearly incompetent. He has done bugger all to remedy the issues with the missing evidence, if it ever was his intention to do so, since he was appointed DPP way back in November 2011. So one would be safe in thinking that Pryde is just trying to cover up his incompetence by deflecting all blame onto the police in a country with no rule of law.
CRIME PAYS! - Nazhat Shameem Khan, a key supporter of Fiji's violent Dictator Frank Bainimarama and his 2006 Coup has been appointed President of the UN Human Rights Body!
Tu na da Bainimarama!
The Fiji Independent [Not] Commission Against Corruption [FICAC] launched its ‘I don’t accept bribes’ campaign in December 2020. It is the slogan for their nationwide anti-bribery training program that is being rolled out through 2021.
What a joke!
“If we truly love Fiji, as patriotic, compassionate sons and daughters and as a Nation and People, then we should NOT be engaged in any form of Corruption,” said Fiji’s corrupt and treasonous President Major General (Ret’d) Jioji Konusi Konrote who was Chief Guest. What a hypocrite! He earns his nickname “kal tuf Konrote” or as the Fijian saying goes, a real boci!
Konrote is the very same person who supported every coup in Fiji and betrayed his oath as an officer! He even BETRAYED his own leader and last democratically elected Prime Minister Lasenia Qarase to clear the way for Bainimarama to carry out his coup of 2006. Remember, Konrote also threatened indo-Fijians during the 1987 coup, with an AK47 strapped to his back. He is the same kal tuf Konrote, an opportunist, who jumped ship from one party to the next since the first coup in 1987. His multiple betrayals paid off, for he is now the illegal President of Fiji.
FICAC Deputy Commissioner Rashmi Aslam invited all civil servants to wear their ‘I don’t accept bribes’ badge with pride.
“By wearing this, you are openly demonstrating your honesty and commitment to be transparent. Your courage to demonstrate the message will show your character and integrity,” he said. What a joke!
You can’t expect civil servants to be honest and transparent when Fiji’s leaders Sayed-Khaiyum and Frank Bainimarama are the most dishonest and corrupt people in Fiji since independence! There is also no transparency around how government ministers are paid via Khaiyum’s Aunty Nur bano Ali! And then there is the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund that is blocked from being audited. These are just a few examples!
FICAC is by no means independent. It’s record includes harassing and charging Khaiyum’s political opponents and people he doesn’t like.
The Fiji Times [4 Jan 2021] highlights a 31second video that it says is a contradiction in terms [Duplicated here].
It shows an unidentified man asking a worker to do something seemingly unethical and the worker rightly refuses to do it.
Then the man slides an envelope to the worker who opens the envelope and sees a $100 note. He mulls over the consequences of accepting the bribe. He visualises himself going to jail and his distraught daughter crying as he is led to jail. So he shakes his head and returns the envelope to the man without any anger or disgust at the corrupt mentality of the man who offers him the bribe.
This implies that the reason he is not accepting the bribe is only because of the devastating consequences of doing so which really defeats the purpose of the message. The video would have been more effective if the thought of accepting the bribe had never entered his mind. This could have been done by showing that he was absolutely livid at being bribed and perhaps report the man to the police.
Russia, China and Saudi Arabia are right to have opposed the selection of Fiji's corrupt ambassador, Nazhat Shameem Khan, to lead the UN Human Rights Council [HRC]. But for different reasons.
Marc Limon of the Universal Rights Group think-tank said that these nations are seeking to pre-emptively counter the future influence of the United States, and don't want a human rights-friendly country to hold the presidency in a year when the U.S. will probably re-engage with the council. The director of the International Service for Human Rights Phil Lynch said that it is understood that Saudi Arabia, China and Russia were all supportive of a Bahraini candidacy and are opposed to a Fijian candidacy, because of Fiji's record with Khan backing probes into abuses in Belarus and Yemen.
Backing those probes are the reason why Nazhat Shameem Khan is falsely seen as a staunch human rights defender, and therefore she should lead the U.N. human rights council. This is a joke! It also suggests that her backers have a rather narrow and myopic view of both her and the core purpose of the human rights body. But then again, it is the UNHRC whose many members include those with poor human rights records.
So the impasse means that the UN Human Rights council, the only intergovernmental global body to promote and protect human rights worldwide [mainly in name only], will resume work in Geneva with no leader for the first time in its 15-year history, says Reuters.
Meanwhile, Nazhat Shameem Khan or Madame Nazhat Shameem which is the name she insisted on back in Fiji before moving to Geneva, continues to deliberately ignore all human rights abuse committed by Fiji's dictator Frank Voreqe Bainimarama and his goons.
Remember, Madame Nazhat Shameem was a key player behind Bainimarama's 2006 coup, providing support and legal advice. Post coup, her company, Law Fiji, was awarded million-dollar contracts without going through a proper tender process! Nazhat was legal advisor to institutions and government entities making the most crucial decisions for Fiji.
She was also a part of the illegal attorney general Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum's inner power circle and a member of the coterie that prepared Fiji's illegal 2013 constitution before the consultation process had even begun!
A senior military source with links to the RFMF intelligence unit stated that her attitude and good fortune is also connected to the multiple tête-à-tête meetings she had with Frank Bainimarama, in a private Vuda Marina motel room.
The global UN Human Rights Council needs a better leader than Nazhat Shameem Khan. Preferably someone with high integrity and high morals. A person not given to corruption, and is willing and unafraid to address ALL human rights abuse no matter who the culprit is.
What do you do when your govt is broke and unable to provide assistance to victims of TC Yasa because of your 14 years of lies, theft, corruption and mismanagement of the economy?
You force everyone to send their aid and donations to be distributed via your incompetent office and corrupt Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund!
No Rule of Law and No Equal Citizenry is a sad reality under Frank Bainimarama's corrupt and failed dictatorship!
Further evidence of this is provided by Fiji's corrupt and incompetent Director of Public Prosecutions Christoper Pryde, from New Zealand. He recently confirmed that, despite having five eyewitness testimonies, no charges will be laid against his guilty employer the Attorney-General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. This is in relation to Sayed Khaiyum's involvement in two bombing incidents in 1987.
Remember, this same Christopher Pryde also refused to lay any charges against Fiji's violent dictator Frank JV Bainimarama who had verbally and physically assaulted a Member of parliament, Pio Tikoduadua. There were eyewitnesses and video evidence of the incident, but still no charges!
What a bloody joke!
The rotten low-down pakeha Cristopher Pryde said that it is "their opinion" [which we all know is Sayed-Khaiyum's opinion] that there is insufficient credible or reliable evidence to support any criminal charges being laid against the Attorney-General and that no further action is required. Yeah right!
Christoper Pryde has proven himself to be a highly corrupt and incompetent DPP bloody wonder!!
Not only is Sayed-Khaiyum Christopher Pryde's employer, the pair are also very close personal friends says a senior military source. The kind of friends that Frank Bainimarama indicated will need to go to Iceland should they wish to cement their union.
This decision by the DPP makes it abundantly clear that there is No Rule of Law and No Equal Citizenry under Frank Bainimarama's corrupt and failed dictatorship!
The new leader of the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) Villiame Gavoka said that he was aware that former party leader Sitiveni Rabuka was forming a new political party, but he did not consider Mr Rabuka a threat. Wow!
This suggests Gavoka is not concerned about splitting the opposition votes further. Remember, Narube split the vote and won no seats, wasting 1.52% of the total votes! Those votes would have made a huge difference to the end result, if he had joined the fight with SODELPA to defeat the FFP's 0.02% winning margin! And now, Rabuka's new party will further reduce the Opposition's chances of removing the Bainimarama dictatorship. Maybe this is Gavoka and Rabuka's hidden objective, happy to remain in Opposition, but employed.
Gavoka said that the party will use “turf control” as opposed to FijiFirst’s “rock star model” to contest the 2022 General Election.
He said that they tried the ‘rock star’ model in 2018, and it did not work for them. But this is not entirely correct. They, we, the opposition, did win the 2018 election! The issue is that they didn't defend or fight to secure our win! They just rolled over and gave in! And accepted the rigged court ruling without any protest or outcry! What an incompetent bunch!
So what will be different in 2022 should they win again, this time using their turf control system? If they still can't beat the rigged election results then there will be no change to the oppression, the human rights violations and the mass corruption and mismanagement under the Bainimarama dictatorship!
WE THE PEOPLE will still lose and Fiji will fall further into economic ruin!
The winners, however, besides Bainimarama and Khaiyum and their corrupt family and friends, will be the SODELPA members who do get into parliament. They will receive very nice taxpayer funded salaries and benefits, while doing "sweet bugger-all" just like their predecessors. Except for a handful who dared to speak out publicly against the dictatorship.
Up till now the party has shown no signs whatsoever, that would inspire any confidence in their supporters, that they will fight to the very end to defend their voter's rights and win in 2022. Therefore, the turf-control appears to be aimed at ensuring certain people are rewarded with a seat in parliament!
Let's hope these certain people will have the right stuff to stand-up and defend our win to the very end against the Khaiyum rigged election system. Because it won't matter if they win 90% of the total votes. If they still haven't acquired the courage, smarts and the will to defend and fight for our win, then 'We the People' still lose!
Fiji's top pathological liar and corrupt AG Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum has asked people affected by TC Yasa “to be honest” when receiving food rations. Wow!
His parents sure didn't raise him right!
Not a good start to 2021 - more begging by Fiji's corrupt Bainimarama government that has rendered Fiji BROKE through its corruption, arrogance, lies, incompetence, stupidity and mismanagement of the Fiji economy!
Bainimarama lied and robbed the nation for 14 years, becoming Fiji's first overnight millionaire PM! So it's a safe bet that 2021 will see Fiji fall further into poverty and more debt that could easily surpass $10 billion, if it hasn't already!
Maybe this year the opposition parties will get their act together and grow a pair! Fingers Crossed!
